To ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and families, St. Mark’s Day School will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the expected severe weather conditions.
Please note: St. Mark’s will be closed on Monday regardless of any decisions made by the NYC Mayor or the NYC Schools Chancellor. We wanted to make this call early to allow our families ample time to make arrangements.
Instructional Plan: Snow Day Packages
While the school building is closed, we want our students to stay engaged with their studies:
-
Complete Your Materials: All students have already been provided with a Snow Day Package. Please use Monday to complete the assignments included in those packets.
-
No Live Instruction: There will be no live remote classes; students should focus on their physical packets.
Where to Find Further Updates
While the decision to close the school for Monday is final, we will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions for the remainder of the week.
-
Check the School Website: We will post any further updates regarding Tuesday’s schedule right here on our homepage.
-
Monitor Your Inbox: We will send out a follow-up email as soon as a return-to-school date is confirmed.
Stay Safe and Warm
We understand that weather-related closures require adjustments at home, and we appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students.
Please stay safe and enjoy the snow from the comfort of your home! We look forward to seeing our students back in their classrooms as soon as it is safe to travel.
