Parent Teachers Association

The St. Mark’s Parent-Teacher Association is comprised of dedicated parents and teachers who are committed to using their personal time and resources to reinforce the academic, social and spiritual curriculum set by St. Mark’s. The new direction of the school is led by the visions of the principal, Father Audley St.C. Donaldson and the thirty-year history of this great academic institution.

Just as we established during the 2004-2005 school year, this year the PTA will continue to focus on increasing parental involvement and implementing additional fundraising techniques to benefit our school. We hope to tap into resources within the Episcopal Church, our Crown Heights community, businesses in public sectors, and national education programs; creating viable, continuous partnerships for St. Mark’s Day School.

We are challenging, you the parents to be heard as well as seen. Don’t simply show up at the monthly meetings, become a Class Parent and work in the school, join one of the fundraising committees, and bring new ideas and projects for us to try. If you work at a company, that is willing to offer or match financial gifts for school-based projects, please let us know how we can benefit from that.

We are also currently working on establishing a PTA email address and bulletin board via the ST. Mark’s website. This will allow you to interact directly with the school administration, PTA board and/or other parents in between regularly scheduled meetings. The PTA works with an open-door policy; No suggestion is overlooked, No complaint is too small. Parental involvement is the key-utilize it!
