The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees plays a key role in the strategic oversight of the St.
Mark’s Day School. The role is defined largely by the Board’s relationship
with the Vestry. The mission of the Board is to prepare all students to be
responsible individuals and to give them the opportunity to acquire the
skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to make informed decisions that
lead to meaningful and productive lives.
The Board establishes student-centered policies and administrative
regulations to provide proper management and academic programs. To
ensure that local and state requirements are met, the Board reviews the
curriculum content in the various subject areas. In addition, we make
recommendations concerning effective internal operations, buildings and
grounds, school safety and security, quality of instruction and learning.
The Board of Trustees is committed to academic excellence.
